Langenberg Machine Products, Inc. is a privately owned company that has been located
in the greater Lansing area since 1987. The company’s owner, Sigurd C. Langenberg,
made his humble beginnings back in 1987 after Sig decided farming wasn’t
his “thing”. He had to work on the machinery most of the time and found out
that he enjoyed working on the machinery more than farming. He began the
business in his Michigan garage where he was repairing the farm machinery.
In 1995 he moved the shop to a rented building in Lansing, with 1 employee
and himself. He made another move in 1997 to a small rented building in
Delta Township. Then in 2008, Sig made a big move to purchase an
18,378 sq. foot building at 1234 S. Holmes St., Lansing, MI. He added several
more employees, and finally has the room to grow into more machining
capabilities for servicing his customers.The company continues to reinvest
profits to improve employee benefits, and add new production machinery
and tooling in order to maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
